GHHS and PHS to Host Vaccine Clinics

Dear Peninsula School District High School Families, 

To assist families with accessibility to COVID-19 vaccines, Peninsula School District is partnering with Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department (TPCHD) to offer free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to students/staff ages 12 and up on-site at Gig Harbor (Auxiliary Gym) and Peninsula (Robotics Lab near Roy Anderson Field) high schools. 

• First Dose Vaccine - June 1, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

• Second Dose Vaccine - June 22, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Families of Track B students can choose for their student to be vaccinated during their in-person building day. All other families (Track A, Track C, or Track B students wishing to receive the vaccine after school) would need to provide transportation to/from school at a time that's convenient. District transportation is not provided for those who have a vaccination appointment time that is after school or while they are learning remotely. 

In accordance with our safety protocols, visitors are not allowed in our school buildings. Families transporting their students are asked to wait in the parking lot while their student receives the vaccine. Healthcare providers from TPCHD will administer the vaccines and a licensed health care provider will be on site in the event of any reactions to the vaccine. 

Families will need to review the Emergency Use Authorization form and complete the pediatric consent forms below. If over 18, students can use this adult consent form.

The second dose appointment will be made at the time of the first vaccine appointment.  If you would only like an appointment on the second date, a link will be sent soon. Students MUST bring the completed consent form with them to their vaccine appointment.
