This school year, PSD implemented a new technology policy that will enhance the educational experience for every child by restricting the use of personal devices such as cell phones during school hours. π±π«
To help everyone understand when it's appropriate to use their phones and when it's time to put them away, our talented students from Gig Harbor and Peninsula High schools have created a wonderful PSA video! π₯π‘ We are incredibly proud of their dedication and creativity. π
School supplies for PSD students are being delivered this week to our schools, marking a significant stride towards fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments.
Each student will receive a curated kit of supplies, tailored to their grade level's needs. π βοΈ ποΈ
PSD is looking for volunteers to join our Special Education Parent Advisory Committee to help provide an inclusive learning space and support for all of PSD's students.
The focus of SEPAC is;
•To develop a Special Education Family Education series, scheduled throughout the school year;
•To develop opportunities for relationship building between Special Education families, PSD staff, and community partners; and
•To promote inclusion through equal opportunities and access to quality education for ALL students, regardless of their abilities, backgrounds, or differences.

the Peninsula School District has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service for our school's athletic departments' needs. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students. FinalForms is being used at all our middle schools for fall sports. High school families should expect to begin using FinalForms when the Winter Sports season begins. All parents of athletes will use FinalForms.
As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to remind you about an important opportunity that goes beyond just meals. Now is the time to apply for the Free/Reduced Meals Application for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This program offers a wide range of benefits that extend far beyond the cafeteria.

The Peninsula School District dedicated three extraordinary days to honor and celebrate the achievements of our remarkable graduating seniors! The past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were filled with joy, excitement, and countless memorable moments as we bid farewell to a remarkable class of students.
In the 2022-2023 school year, we witnessed an exceptional display of dedication and community engagement from the students of Peninsula, Gig Harbor, and Henderson Bay high schools. A total of 65 students from these schools earned their Varsity Letter in Community Service, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact on their local community.
On Wednesday, something magical happened in the Peninsula School District. It was time for the highly anticipated Elementary Grad Walks, a tradition that warms the hearts of both students and teachers alike.

On Wednesday night, May 17, over 30 PSD students were honored by the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation (GGHF) as this year’s Students of Distinction.
Each year the GGHF honors PSD’s graduating seniors who have made a significant contribution to their field or mankind.
Starting next school year, 2023-2024, all public high school students enrolled in College in the High School courses will be able register to earn college credit at no cost to the student or school. College in the High School will be FREE!
